The brief

Heritage buildings demand a different discipline from new-build. In the David Stow Building, the M&E works had to bring services up to standard while treating the fabric of a significant historic structure with care — no heavy-handed routing, no damage to the character that makes the building worth preserving.

What we delivered

Stein Group self-delivered the electrical and mechanical installation to conservation-sensitive standards. Our engineers planned service routes and fixings to protect the existing fabric, delivering modern, compliant M&E systems that sit quietly within a heritage setting.

Coordinating both disciplines under one Stein team meant the sensitivity of the building was managed consistently across every trade, rather than left to separate contractors each making their own calls.
