The brief

The Pathfoot Building is one of the University of Stirling's most recognisable structures, and any works within it had to respect both its status and the fact that the campus around it never stops. The M&E scope needed to be upgraded while students and staff continued to use the space.

What we delivered

Stein Group self-delivered the electrical and mechanical services upgrade, planning the works so that isolations, disruption and access were tightly controlled around live campus operation. Our engineers sequenced the trades to keep areas usable and to hand back space progressively as it was completed.

With both disciplines under one Stein team, coordination on a constrained, occupied building was managed internally rather than across competing subcontractors — the single biggest advantage on a job like this.
